Nagamori Foundation for Arts and Culture: Automata Collection
The collection comprises 347 antique music boxes, automata, player pianos and other items. This book features 92 of them, focusing on automata. Published to commemorate the opening of the Nagamori Collection Gallery, which houses and displays the collection, this comprehensive volume includes rare documentation of automata lighting lamps, blowing soap bubbles and puffing tobacco smoke, as well as X-ray images of their internal mechanisms.
