Chion-in Temple, the head temple of the Jodo sect, is held
In conjunction with the "Ullambana Festival, Memorial Service for the 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II, and Peace Pledge Ceremony," a sound offering was made to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. Prayers for peace echoed through Chion-in Temple.

■ Venue: Jodo sect Head Temple Chion-in Temple "Assembly Hall" (Important Cultural Property)
Location: 400 Hayashishita-cho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto Prefecture
Performance: Dedication performance of the new music box "KAIROS" (approximately 15-20 minutes per performance)
Played every hour and half hour

What is ORPHEUS KAIROS?
NIDEK Instruments Co., Ltd., Japan's largest music box manufacturer, has collaborated with KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN, led by world-renowned industrial designer Ken Okuyama, to create the latest disc-type music box. The design combines traditional manufacturing techniques with modern mechanical and spatial beauty. The open design makes the most of the beauty of the internal structure, and produces a rich, full sound. The front and side panels can be customized, and this time it features special lacquer panels created in collaboration with lacquer artist Natsuki Kurimoto. The special edition is priced at 21.78 million yen (tax included).
